Last pre-race run today to stretch my legs - 10 minutes, 1.25 miles. Going to try to go to bed now at insane o'clock because I have to get up at stupid o'clock to get to the start. Good night!

Time was much improved! Last year I ran 4:14:24 - this year, even in the cold and occasional downpours, I ran 3:40:38! Hoody hoo!

Trying to! Unfortunately I am here at work today, trying to stretch my calves constantly! I'll take a couple days off from running, though!

Back in training in earnest - next race is the Merrell Down and Dirty - a 10K mud run in April. It was a ton of fun last year.

Well I did the Mud Run - it was again a ton of fun and a ton of mud! I'll post a pic of my two friends and me covered with mud after the race. I ran with them through most of the race, so I had to hold back a bit. I finished 9th in my age group (if I had run just the same as last year, I would have been 3rd), but we focused on having fun together.

Next year, though, it's every man and woman for him/herself!

Yesterday's workout was an easy hill workout - 6 miles in 49:32, two big hills. Now officially in training for the Disney Half Marathon.

Easy 8 miles yesterday, 1:04:30. Big goal for the year is to BQ at the Long Beach Marathon in October.

The big goal of the year is to "BQ" ? What does that mean?

Running is full of complex terms and acronyms which I don't understand ; P
