Finally got my next games of Seawall and Scythe scheduled. That's a challenge with legacy games - you can't play with just anybody - you have to (or should, at least) play with the same group each time.

How do you like Seafall?

I'd never heard of Mice and Mystics, but I may get it for next GENCON. What other cooperative games do people like? We really like Zombiecide, so other games like that would be great. :)

I love Zombicide... Pandemic... Forbidden Island and Desert... Betrayal at House on the Hill (coop to a point) same with Dead of Winter... Super Dungeon Explore.

Zombie 15 is like Zombicide, but plays in 15 minutes... a lot of fun, but stressful with the wrong group.

Defenders of the Realm and Swords Over Camelot are our favorites. The new Warhammer card game has some interesting mechanics.
You still got hit points! Get back in there and fight!!

Do you mean Shadows over Camelot? That's the game that brought me back into gaming...geez, 10 years ago? There's no way I'm that old now.

Yes... shadows carrying swords... They're pretty mean down here on the redneck Riviera...

Let's see...

CCG/LCGs; Magic (been playing on and off since 4th, my favourite style being 4-6+ multiplayer variants) and Netrunner (though this hasn't seen table time in quite a while, been thinking of selling off the collection). Shadowrun: Crossfire is a fun deckbuilder.

Board Games: BSG is fun, though my group finds it almost impossible for the Humans to win. They have to fight luck, Cylons, and occasionally each other. The Cylon(s) just need to keep their head down and pick off whatever the weak point is (oh, you only have 1 morale left? Let's do something about that.). I enjoy it, but can find it a bit frustrating in that regard; if you're not a Cylon, you're probably going to lose, if you are, you're probably going to just about get the game handed to you. But again, this is with my group and the expansions we use (Pegasus... and something else I think, not Caprica or whatever the other big box is).

X-Com is also a hit, though we've only won it once with tight teamplay on the easiest non-tutorial setting.

Shadows of Brimstone. It has replaced Hero Quest as my go-to dungeon crawler. Love the theme (and use it as an excuse to get some old Malifaux minis on the table once in a while), the 'Western Horror Steampunk Stargate Adventures' feel, and that it's fully cooperative.

Arkham Horror/Eldritch Horror for when we feel like watching the board win over the course of 3-6 hours. :-P

Xia, which has mostly replaced Merchants and Marauders as our go-to trade route/piracy game, especially with the revealed tiles for building the board.

That's just a sampling of the current fare, two of my friends have a board game room with a couple hundred games/expansions/etc in it on various shelves, so there's always something to play, whether it's pulling an old favourite out (Space Hulk, for example), organizing a 6 player X-Wing tournament (round robin), epic Chaos in the Old World/Cthulhu Wars/etc battles, stuff like that.

It's good social time, and lately RPGs have been making a comeback. There's an occasionally advanced Pathfinder campaign going, a new-fledged Shadowrun campaign, and I'd love to get them into some D&D 4E or maybe the Dresden Files FATE game.

Still playing 3rd Edition Talisman.
D&D teaches all the important lessons in life - the low blow, the cheap shot, the back stab, the double cross. - Jerry Marsischky

Let them trap us. We have our swords. - Elric of Melnibone.

You try to get them to play the game, but all they want to do is play the rules. - Ardak Kumerian

I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend - Faramir

We've had a lot of fun with Seafall, but we've only played the intro and one game so far. Second game is scheduled to be next Sunday. We haven't opened the first expansion chest yet, but we are enjoying customizing our game board, ships, and captains.
