ham was awesome. I used a brown sugar and honey glaze.

I just hate trimming around the bone, but next week it will make a good pot of brown beans and cornbread.

My favorite is gluten free lasagna with Layers of spinach, purple sweet potatoes, and plant based sausage. It costs about $80 for an 8x8 pan but people absolutely love it.

What do I like to cook? The answer is everything! Seriously, I haven't bought more than a dozen pre-made items from the store in six months or more.

Last night I wanted some potato soup so made it from scratch. Even used the homemade chicken stock I had frozen earlier. A few weeks ago it was authentic tamales. After that is was southern buttermilk biscuits. Tomorrow will be rack of lamb with mustard and herb coating. Thursday it was szechuan chicken and mushrooms. One of my very favorites is short ribs with red wine reduction.

As to recipes, I left most of them in my past. I cook by feel and memory now unless it is something like the biscuits that need exact measure.
You can't fix stupid but you can TPK it.

Today's breakfast. Eggs Christopher topped with candied bacon.

Eggs Christopher is a homemade, split and toasted, buttermilk biscuit, 2 rounds of goetta fried up crispy, two basted eggs and country gravy. The candied bacon was made with brown sugar, maple syrup and a dash of 5 pepper blend.

I hope that's an 8 foot x 8 foot pan. ;)

I made a really great sausage, cabbage, and potato soup for dinner tonight. It's cheap, hearty, and comforting. It somehow tastes nostalgic even though I only started eating it as an adult. If anyone wants the recipe it's here:

All of Chef John's recipes are really great actually, I highly recommend them to everyone. Just don't make his garlic chicken recipe...it's as terrible as everything else is good.

That sounds delightful. Just getting back into ham and beans, I don't know why I ever stopped eating it.
