It's even messing up my sleep, I woke up way to early worrying about what was going on with my box and couldn't get back to sleep...ooh boy. Would love to see an actual scan, even if it wasn't from St Louis. At least I would know it hasn't been totally lost or something. Now wishing I had dropped the $70 on max insurance. sigh

This thread is kind of like therapy at this point. Hi my name is David and it's been 5 days since the USPS has scanned my package.

Bless the folks at the USPS! When I didn't get any new notices since Friday I decided to stop into the local post office and ask them if they could tell me anything I couldn't tell from the scant info I had received from tracking. I talked to my favorite postal employee, someone who I've been dealing with for years, is a great guy with a great attitude. He went and checked and didn't have any more into than I did; except he asked "Was the box really heavy?" Duh! of course it was it was jammed full of tokens (not my official response, I just said yep). He tells me if a box is marked as "heavy" in the system it actually goes through a slightly different processing, as it is hand carried around and not put through sorting machines which tend to break when heavy tokens crash into them. So he says chances are that is adding a couple days to it. I was like yeah but no scans since departure is just weird. He said chances are it will show up as scanned today or maybe tomorrow; come back in two or three days if nothing and he'll see what he can do.

Fair enough.

So I get home and I have an email from Jeff and Lori with my tracking number !?!? :woohoo:

So apparently it did get delivered! But according to USPS it hasn't yet. My best guess is the sticker with the tracking number fell off; so it kept moving and the sticker was in the back of some postal truck. Which I did notice now is a really small crappy little sticker. They use to print out a half pager that would stick on well. But now they print to small stickers. I bet this is happening more and more and frustrating many postal customers.

Now I'm feeling very relieved! As soon tokens will be on the way to me!

But we won't go Monday morning. No, we will wait......I at least I hope since I don't have an out for delivery update.

EDIT: Apparently I just needed to complain about here on the forums, because now it is delivered.

That's what we're here for. A safe place to vent a little. And if it gets your package delivered, so much the better.

I've always wondered if heavier packages were more apt to be delayed. With these last transmutes I only had two small priority boxes worth of tokens. Rather than put them in a medium priority box, I decided to ship them separately and see if they traveled any faster. In my case, I don't think so. They both took 4 days to get to TD (the usual time is 2 days). I was sort of hoping TD would combine my return package into one box. I got one shipping notice on Friday and thought maybe that's what they did. That box arrived today and then I got another shipping notice, so now I need to wait another 2-4 days for the 2nd half to get returned. Oh well.

Well, my tokens have left Greenville, SC, after sitting there more than 27 hours. We’ll see if they land in LA tonight.

Good luck. I'm starting to doubt my second box will get returned in time for V4c. The shipping label was created at 9:05am yesterday, but there's been no further update that USPS has the item yet. If they get it today, its 50/50 as to whether or not I'll see it this week. Sigh. That'll mean no sacred necklace this weekend. At least I got my mage medallion back and I'll be an elf wizard in most of my runs.

Um, nope. Annoyingly, the tracking still says they are expected to be delivered today, even though they have disappeared since leaving SC.

Still no word since it departed from Greenville, SC, but the delivery date has at least been changed to reflect reality - "In transit, arriving late."

Since that post, the tokens have landed in LA, gone to several distribution centers for processing, and are now OUT FOR DELIVERY! Hoody hoo!

Excellent!

My 2nd box actually made it out of St. Louis this morning and is already at my local distribution center, so I'm very optimistic that I'll see them tomorrow.

More follies!

So my transmuted order from TD has now gone off grid...ugh. It meandered for a couple days from St. Louis to Memphis and nothing since. Meanwhile, a package from San Diego mailed the same day zipped across the country and is Out for Delivery today.

We need to come up with a name for the St Louis/Memphis distribution centers -- maybe like the Mississippi River Package Vortex or something.

Sorry to hear about your package. My latest arrived yesterday, much to my relief.

I'm good with your naming of the centers. We can even use that to assign a code name to the main villain - Mr. PeeVee. "Where's your package? I don't know, Mr. PeeVee has it."

Yeah...lol! Good news it left Memphis after sitting there for a day and a half!
That said the package from San Diego arrived safe and sound...via First Class. That's twice now that first class has ran circles around Priority Mail...something is definitely amiss.
