Kickers, I like having but would recommend removing extra points for credit. That way, scoring is based just on the kickers themselves.

I don’t only what the yahoo default defensive scoring is, but I do know that defenses in this league go negative far too often. In the league I commish, I aim to have the average defensive performance be 10 points based on the performance of prior years defense #16. That yields this breakdown for points and yards allowed:

Points Allowed 0 points: 12
Points Allowed 1-6 points: 12
Points Allowed 7-13 points: 10
Points Allowed 14-20 points: 6
Points Allowed 21-27 points: 4
Points Allowed 28-34 points: 0
Points Allowed 35+ points: -4
Defensive Yards Allowed - Negative: 12
Defensive Yards Allowed 0-99: 12
Defensive Yards Allowed 100-199: 10
Defensive Yards Allowed 200-299: 6
Defensive Yards Allowed 300-399: 4
Defensive Yards Allowed 400-499: 0
Defensive Yards Allowed 500+: -4

I'd be thrilled to remove kickers and Defense,losing a bench slot if needed....
