Once I had the skull a member of my group took interest and tried guessing what it did. He at one point said something along the lines of "You have been picking your class last, but you did that normally anyway"

I will let Reap post the poem and the quest - they were pretty awesome.

At one point a bunch of us were at Genghis Con together and the skull got passed around a ton by people who actually care what class they play :-)

I remember people talking about the skull. It never ended up in my possession while we were there. But I don't think there's any chance that would have affected what class I play. Wizard is always the last option :P

When I received it at the end of GHC, I figured "No problem! I often choose last anyways." But I wound up needing to pass it off quicker than I expected. I frequently run double-downs with a certain group, and I realized that in our usual Canadian standoff of "oh no, you go ahead and choose a class" I was having to be a bit more pushy than usual and becoming suspicious

To be fair, you should have expected that, since we were having those stand offs prior to the skull acquisition. So much context was added to a particularly angsty "JUST PICK YOUR CLASS" weekend we had when he was finally able to clue me in.

At one point Genghis you all had a clandestine giggly bathroom meeting while I sat in the room, you mean.

Three can keep a secret if two are giggling like crazy people in the bathroom.

Clearly a gibgub infiltrator. That smoked sour may have been the worst part of the weekend. (Which, given all you fine people, is admittedly a high bar).

This was a fun quest and a nice reward from Grunnel! Thanks all involved. I initially expected the skull to travel around for years to come. There is tons of room in that book for more names. Maybe wait a couple years and then bring it back under a new guise when people aren't expecting it?

The scroll is an amazing TD souvenir -- I will keep it forever!

Classes Played: Barbarian (65 times), Monk (56), Ranger (33), Rogue (25), Cleric (21), Fighter (13), Druid (12), Paladin (11), Dwarf Fighter (10), Bard (7), Elf Wizard (2), Wizard (2)

This is what I have received and seeking guidance on how to use it. I realize I need to ask for the small favor before the end of vTD 9. I asked my DM today and he wasn’t sure what it was. Please help this not so bright barbarian.

I'm definitely keeping mine as a keepsake, not actually redeeming it.

I’d definitely try tracking Grunnel down on the fan built discord server for further guidance. My understanding is that they don’t frequent the forums.

It looks like you don't have to turn it in to redeem it. (After redemption scroll is eligible for recycling. Contact your local waste management providers for recycling procedures.)

Grunnel has clarified that the proper way to use this scroll is by tearing it up during coaching / training or epilogue depending on the exact use.
