Last year there was a suggestion to change defensive scoring so defenses don’t go negative as often (D scoring doesn’t seem to have kept up with NFL changes to encourage scoring).

Was this change implemented?

I’m onboard with making Ds either bottom at 0, or Not go negative until 500+ yards allowed and 45 points. Basically, I’d like to avoid a situation where it’s preferable to not play a D because of negative scoring.

+1 to changing defense to be less punishing. Agreed about it being an issue where it was sometimes better to no play a defense than risk getting negative points.
