Thanks all for another fun year of Fantasy Football. This has been a weird year in the NFL. Keeps things interesting.

Thought I would provide some year-end feedback while I think of it. And maybe this spawns some ideas you all might have for feedback as well.
We can refer to this and any other feedback others may have when we start planning next year's league.
(I don't know the limitations of the settings Yahoo has, so if some of these things are not possible then no biggie)


Matchup schedule -
I noticed last year and this year that the schedule wasn't quite balanced the same for everyone in terms of playing division opponents twice. If this is easily controllable it would be good to see that we all play division opponents twice and all others once. This would equal the 14-week season perfectly.

Position setup -
I didn't mind the new format where we dropped DEF and Kicker. I would like to add Kicker back next year, but by no means is it a deal breaker. I just like the position variety.

Injured Reserve -
I recommend reducing IR slots to 2 instead of 4.
My thought is that since we only had 4 different positions to manage, 7 Bench slots and 4 IR slots were just a bit much for hanging on to multiple players. Especially since we're allowed to place "OUT" players in IR slots.
Even if we added the Kicker position back, 4 IR slots are still a lot to me.

Waiver / FA pickups -
I don't mind the initial Waivers to process on Wednesday. But after Wednesday any FA pickups should be processed immediately after that. Everyone would have had 2 days to make initial claims. Having a waiting period with each FA claim seems unnecessary. So if this setting change is available I would recommend this change.
I had multiple instances where I looked to pick up players who had Thursday games, but my claim didn't process until Friday. One of them would have made a difference in one of my games earlier in the year.

In-Season Budget for Waiver/FA -
Since we're able to pick up players for $0, I'm wondering if there is even a need for the in-season budget. I think moving to a basic Waiver system based on priority goes from worst to best record for the initial Waiver that processes on Wednesday.
To me, the budget comes into play so infrequently that I'm not sure how much we consider it after the first several weeks of the season.

I have an unfortunate streak over the past decade or so. I have made it to the finals in various leagues 8 times. I am 0 for 8 out of those. My championship record is very Bills-esque. Your odds are better than you think. Just this week< I had Hockenstein go on IR and Cooper miss tonight’s game despite being expected to play. At the current rate, Purdy will quit the 49’rs this Saturday to join a boy band.

With a huge TD catch and follow up 2pt conversion Chris Godwin keeps Melissa's hopes alive and potentially acts as the harbinger of Fred's continued Super Bowl woes. Now it's all up to Tee Higgins and a stumbling Cincy QB. It's gonna be a nail biter.

Thanks Greg for getting the discussion started for next year's league. It wasn't as challenging as I thought handling commish duties with a little help from Mike. Will be happy to continue the roll next year to keep this league going as it's one of my favs and I need to make up for a terrible showing this season.

Ugh - tough way for such a great championship game to end. You both had great teams this year.
