Treasure Enhancers

As much fun as it is to defeat menacing monsters and solve perplexing puzzles, the feeling you get when looting treasure at the end of an adventure is just plain awesome. Even though all players are now guaranteed to get a minimum of three treasure pulls, adventurers have always sought ways to increase the amount of treasure they can earn from their True Dungeon experience. Back in 2007, we introduced the "fabled" Horn of Plenty that could effectively triple the amount of loot one could score if the party consistently did well. In 2011, Ring of Riches was released, and in 2013 Charm of Good Fortune came out. Ever since, there has been a steady stream of treasure-enhancing tokens printed and enjoyed by players all over the world.

In 2015, the first token to combine multiple treasure enhancers (TEs) into one slot was released: the Charm of Avarice! This amazing item is considered by many to be the most sought-after token in existence. It has the potential to grant an additional 13 tokens, so it's understandable why everyone wants one of their own. But because it was released so many years ago, the items required to craft it have become more and more difficult to acquire. This has led to frustration on the part of some newer players. So, we have created a NEW recipe option for crafting Charm of Avarice with newer tokens.

Players now have a third recipe option to create a Charm of Avarice. The new recipe option consists of the following tokens:

  • 10× Alchemist's Ink
  • 10× Alchemist's Parchment
  • 10× Darkwood Plank
  • 10× Dwarven Steel
  • 10× Enchanter's Munition
  • 10× Minotaur Hide
  • 10× Mystic Silk
  • 10× Philosopher's Stone
  • 10,000 GP in Reserve bars
  • 12 points worth of tokens (any combination; duplicates are fine) using the following values:

All Charm of Avarice recipes are self-contained and may not be mixed and matched. You can order this and all other currently available Transmuted tokens on the TD Transmute page.

But wait, there's more!

Coming in 2027, there's going to be a token that surpasses the mighty Charm of Avarice when it comes to increasing the size of your treasure trove! Its final name has not been determined, but the "Token of Über Avarice" (or whatever it may be called) will grant the person who equips it an extra 20(!) treasure pulls--that's one more than the sum of its parts. And it does so without taking up an equipment slot! The breakdown of those 20 treasure pulls comes from the following:

  • 13* from Charm of Avarice
  • 2 from Bead of Bounty
  • 2 from the 2025 UR Treasure Enhancing Bead (name TBD)
  • 2 from the 2027 UR Treasure Enhancing Bead (name TBD)
  • 1 from the token being cool

*Not a variable number. Even though Charm of Avarice is a synergistic token with a variable treasure bonus, Token of Über Avarice (name TBD) always gives the same treasure pull bonus.

To give collectors ample notice for this forthcoming slotless mega-TE, we are releasing parts of the recipe now.  This is not the complete recipe!  For now, only the "big" items are being announced. Expect the final recipe to require an extremely large amount of Trade and Reserve bar tokens. In addition to other items, the Token of Über Avarice (name TBD) is going to require the following tokens:

  • Charm of Avarice
  • Bead of Bounty
  • the 2025 UR Treasure Enhancing Bead (name TBD)
  • the 2027 UR Treasure Enhancing Bead (name TBD)

Stacking
As you may have assumed, a player may not equip Token of Über Avarice (name TBD) with any of the following:

Please Note: Ioun Stone Silver Nugget, Ioun Stone Gold Nugget, and Ioun Stone Platinum Nugget are not on that list. That's because they stack with Token of Über Avarice (name TBD). Thus, starting in 2027 it'll be possible to equip the Token of Über Avarice (name TBD) and the three aforementioned Ioun Stone Nuggets to yield a grand total of 29 total treasure pulls (including the three starting pulls everyone gets) after an adventure. Players 6th level or higher can gain 30 treasure pulls!

Does it Synergize?
Fear not, the Token of Über Avarice (name TBD) contributes toward the synergy bonus for Charm of Good Fortune or Charm of Avarice for fellow party members who have not equipped a Token of Über Avarice (name TBD).
